You may have been in this position but really didn’t want to spend $150 on a box with a cd in it(Microsoft Office). Not a lot of people know but there are alternatives to spending a fortune on software out there and the one that will fit your Office needs is OpenOffice.

OpenOffice is completely free, open source software that has many of the same features and commands as MS Office. This project is steered by Sun Microsystems and is virtually the same as MS Office(without the pretty little box of course lol). Download it and give it a whirl and see why so many people use it and use their money elsewhere(like gas…ugh!)
